Let Them Vote! County Residents Fight Sales Tax Hikes

Sign the petition to stop the sales tax hikes in Montgomery County: No New Taxes Without a Voice.

UPDATE: The Hamilton County deadline has passed, there is still time to sign, share, or carry for Montgomery County through July 26!

Taxpayers in two Ohio counties are standing up against new higher sales taxes that would make nearly everything they buy more expensive, or hurt local businesses as shoppers go to the next county over, or next state.

After their county commissions approved sales tax increases, local residents in Hamilton and Montgomery counties are demanding the people have the final say as to whether taxes should be increased.

Groups of concerned citizens in both counties are circulating petitions that would give voters the chance to stop the tax hikes on the November 6 general election ballot.

In Montgomery County, residents were hit with a $19 million tax hike, and petitions must be submitted by July 26. In Hamilton County, that is an even tighter deadline of July 18 for 23,600 signatures.

You can help by signing a petition, sharing with a friend, or carrying petitions yourself!
